This site contains information, technical and general, essays, and images about the current nuclear weapons situation in our world. The pages listed in the menus above are my attempts to make sense of some of the information I have been studying for many years now. There will be more, as the work continues. I don't have any answers, just a burning conviction that somebody has to do something. Maybe the issue needs more voices, maybe sharing the information with friends and family can help to grow the chorus. If you have information to share, or want to learn more, or have any suggestions about how we citizens can deal with this mess, please contact me. Tracy W Powell, 360-840-3826, stonebard@gmail.com

From mid-July to the end of September, the Golden Rule will sail the waters of the Pacific Northwest.
Once again, as in 2016, We plan to participate in wooden boat shows, protest against Nuclear-Armed Submarines, a Munitions Depot, and Seattle's Fleet Week.
And as always, we will have educational programs and ask politicians to support the UN Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons and other measures to pull us "Back from the Brink" of nuclear war!

***!st and 3rd Fridays*** -------------
Bannering continues in downtown Mount Vernon!
Most people don't think about nuclear weapons, but they need to realize the threat we are living with and hopefully do something about it. We will continue to protest nuclear weapons by bannering the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month, 3 pm, at the downtown Mount Vernon I-5 overpass, above the Skagit Valley Food Co-op parking lot. We’ll have our “NO NUKES” banner plus American, Ukrainian, and Peace flags.
Parking is available North of the overpass on Fulton Street, where the old YMCA was, or South in a parking lot for $1/hour, or on the street. Bring your own sign, use ours, or simply wave at motorists!

NUCLEAR WEAPONS
The terrible truth is: our nation built these damn things, and if we don't eliminate them now, sooner or later, many millions of innocent human beings, including our children, grandchildren, parents, friends and neighbors, could die horribly excruciating deaths.
After making substantial progress in disarmament over the last few decades, we are now rebuilding and upgrading our nuclear weapons stockpile. What went wrong?
